Pavel Francouz may be forced to retire due to serious injury
After a late but solid start to his NHL career, veteran goaltender Pavel Francouz may be facing a shock end to his on-ice career with the Colorado Avalanche.
Earlier this season, 33-year old Pavel Francouz was ruled out for the remainder of the 2023-24 campaign by the Colorado Avalanche, as he was dealing with a lower-body injury.
Unfortunately, things now appear worse than ever expected for the Avalanche veteran, as Insider Meghan Angley has now revealed that he may be headed for retirement, as the veteran revealed he has no plans to ramp up his return to play from injury.
The 33-year old native of the Czech Republic made his NHL debut back in 2018, and played in 73 games over that time, posting an impressive 2.49 GAA with a .919 save percentage. We will update with details as they officially come out on the situation, but for now, things don't look good.
