San Jose Sharks sign Collin Graf to entry-level contract
The San Jose Sharks announced that they've signed Collin Graf to an entry-level contract on Thursday afternoon.
Graf, 21, was a NCAA free agent, as he was never drafted in the NHL. However, he had a big impact with the Quinnipiac University, scoring 108 points in 75 games over the last two seasons.
The Sharks released the following statement:
"Graf has excelled at the collegiate level, finishing as a Hobey Baker Top-10 finalist for the last two seasons. His on-ice awareness allows him to process the game at a high level, and is a unique player with a quality 200-foot game who excells in the offensive zone. We are excited to have him join the organization."
Graf attracted a lot of interest in the last year from NHL teams. This summer, he went to the Predators' development camp, and went to the Panthers' the year before.
