Pat Maroon launches Timothy Liljegren into the bench with massive hit

Tensions are high between the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs in their first playoff matchup of round one. New Boston Bruin Pat Maroon is especially angsty, having absolutely demolished Timothy Liljegren with a hit into the bench.

Pat Maroon, who was acquired by the Boston Bruins from the Minnesota Wild at the trade deadline, made his debut in white and gold rather recently due to pervasive injuries. It is safe to say his impact is being felt very quickly, as the Bruins have taken a lead on the Toronto Maple Leafs early on in game 1.

In an incredible soon to be viral scene, the veteran forward hit Timothy Liljegren so hard he went into the Bruins bench.
