Nikita Zadorov and Elias Lindholm both leave Vancouver: sign with Boston Bruins
The Boston Bruins brought in two top free agents today in Nikita Zadorov and Elias Lindholm, both from the Vancouver Canucks.
The Boston Bruins have signed both Elias Lindholm and Nikita Zadorov today, both to massive extensions with significant term. Elias Lindholm has signed a seven year $7.75 million annual deal, which is significantly more than most analysts believe he's worth after falling off from a Selke worthy season.
Elias Lindholm, signed 7x$7.8M by BOS, is a complementary two-way centre who's good at finding soft areas around the net and getting open. Coming off a really difficult season, Bruins are making a serious bet here.
Nikita Zadorov signed a six year deal, which may not age well as he gets older, but will bring the intangibles he proved in the playoffs with the Vancouver Canucks last season.
Nikita Zadorov, signed 6x$5M by BOS, is a physical D who thrives on chaos. He throws hits, he forces opposing forwards to dump pucks in out of fear, he moves the puck out of the zone (often with possession), carries it in, scores goals, fights, and he takes plenty of penalties.
