Vancouver Canucks' Brock Boeser's fate confirmed following scary blood clotting issue last season

Brock Boeser dealt with some scary health issues during the 2023/24 season, and now he reveals how it's going ahead of next season.

Last season ended in disappointing fashion for the Vancouver Canucks, but it wasn't all their fault, as they dealt with some unfortunate health scares, with Brock Boeser's being especially scary. After an incredible regular season performance, Boeser was ruled out of a critical Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with blood clotting issues that had many worried about his health and safety moving forward.

Thankfully, it was announced when he would miss Game 7 against the Edmonton Oilers that the issue was not life threatening, but it had many Canucks fans curious about what his status would be moving forward. Now, there's been an update from reporter Noah Strang, who revealed that Boeser is off blood thinners and has now officially resumed contact training, and while he will still need to take precautionary measures, it appears he'll have the all clear to return this season.

This is great news for the Canucks and Boeser ahead of a critical 2024/25 season, as he will look to build on a season that saw him tally career highs in games played (81), goals (40) and points (73), with the Canucks having incredibly high expectations after winning the Pacific Division a year ago.
