Last night, the Ottawa Senators offered an impressive performance against the St. Louis Blues by defeating them 8-1. In total, 12 Senators players contributed on the scoresheet, led by Tim Stutzle's four-point tally.
After the Blues allowed a fifth goal to the Sens, head coach Drew Bannister decided to remove Joel Hoffer from the net and sent Jordan Binnington, who couldn't stop Ottawa either. Both goalies' save percentages ended under .800, giving their team no chance to get back in the game.
With just over five minutes to go in the third period, a massive scrum emerged near Binnington's net. The goalie, who never ran away from getting involved physically in brawls, went after Brady Tkachuk.
While the altercation with the Sens captain didn't last long, he seemed to challenge Linus Ullmark, who was looking at the scene from his net. At some point, both goalies skated toward the center of the ice, but Binnington returned to the bench instead, avoiding the confrontation.

Last season, Binnington got a lot of attention from the media for his involvement in physical altercations.
In April, he received a roughing penalty in a game against the Anaheim Ducks after he took part in a scrum. Debates on his style were already heated since another incident. In February, he showed his lack of class in an incident against the Nashville Predators.
This year, Binnington hasn't been living up to his team's expectations, with a 2-4-0 record, a 0.895 save percentage and a 3.12 goals-against average. It wouldn't be surprising to see him in the headlines for other questionable actions on the ice this season, especially if his struggles continue.
