Angry John Tortorella Calls Out One Flyers Player: Trade is Likely Per Elliotte Friedman
Morgan Frost has been a name on the trade block recently for Philadelphia, and now veteran coach John Tortorella has brutally called him out after the team's win.
The Philadelphia Flyers beat the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday in dramatic fashion, with rookie Matvei Michkov tallying the overtime winner to get the team to 9-10-2 on the season and back into Stanley Cup Playoff contention.
However, not all is well for the John Tortorella-led team, as the veteran Head Coach called out young Morgan Frost after the victory, especially making note of his lack of competitive desire on the ice.
While players go through scoring droughts and make some mistakes at a young age, one thing that should never be called into question is competitive desire, and the fact that Tortorella has done that isn't a good sign for Frost's future in Philly.
Despite this, the veteran coach reiterated that he believes in Frost and thinks that if he gets the hard-nosed, competitive side of his game together, everything else will come together.
Recently, Elliotte Friedman speculated about Frost's future, noting that there are many teams interested in the 25-year old.
After putting together two straight solid campaigns, Frost hasn't been at his best through 21 games this season, and with the Flyers looking to compete, perhaps this latest complaint from Tortorella is what will lead to the former first-round pick being moved.
