At the end of January J.T. Miller was finally traded to the New York Rangers ending the saga between himself and the organization.
While Miller, his teammates, and the organization had a rough ending together it was clear that all parties involved still cared for one another.
The trade involving Miller was an emotional moment for all three parties after all Miller had spent six seasons in Vancouver trying to bring the city a championship.
Today that notion was reinforced when Miller's wife put out a heartfelt statement on social media to say goodbye to the city and thank the fans for their support.
In a post on Instagram Miller's wife Natalie spoke out about the trade and what the entire city meant to her and her family.
In the statement Miller specifically mentions starting a family in the city of Vancouver and being part of the community being welcomed into the arena every night with open arms.
While things ended poorly between Miller and the Canucks organization it is clear J.T. and his family will always have a soft spot for the city of Vancouver even if they move on to a new home.
When Miller returns to Vancouver next time as a visitor it will be interesting to see if he and his family receive the same love back or if he will face adversity from the fans.
