Dylan Larkin gave Todd McLellan an unexpected offseason headline after a night out with Jack, Quinn, and Luke Hughes.
The four NHL stars were spotted leaving an upscale restaurant Sunday night, looking relaxed as cameras followed them toward the street.
Larkin stayed mostly out of the spotlight, but Jack Hughes unknowingly delivered the line that turned the brief encounter into a viral hockey clip.
Walking past the camera without breaking stride, Hughes offered a blunt review of the meal: “Dude, that place beat my d*** down.”
His brothers appeared amused, while Larkin looked like someone enjoying every second of a loose summer night away from the rink.
The clip shows Hughes moving casually through the group before dropping the comment, apparently unaware that a nearby camera had captured every word.

For Red Wings fans, seeing Larkin relaxed carries some weight after another demanding season in Detroit's top six.
The captain produced 34 goals and 67 points across 74 games, leading the attack while handling power-play work and difficult matchups.
He also scored 14 times on the power play, reinforcing his importance to a Detroit group that still runs through his speed and finishing touch.
McLellan will need that same version of Larkin when training camp opens, but late July belongs to vacations, dinners, and stories that never reach the bench.
