Connor Hellebuyck's future is suddenly a major issue for Scott Arniel and the Winnipeg Jets as another possible trade destination enters the picture.
The Utah Mammoth have been identified as a potential suitor for Hellebuyck, giving Winnipeg another team with enough young assets to at least explore a major deal.
Utah's appeal starts with its prospect pool. Tij Iginla and Caleb Desnoyers are among the young pieces that could give the Jets something substantial to consider if talks ever become serious.

Utah also has to protect itself from paying too much, too soon. Moving multiple top young players for a 33-year-old goalie could leave holes elsewhere before the roster is ready to make a deep run.
That's what makes this potential match so complicated. The Mammoth possess the trade ammunition, while Hellebuyck possesses the contractual power to decide whether the conversation goes anywhere.
For Armstrong, the decision comes down to timing. Utah can pursue one of hockey's biggest names now or preserve its young core and continue building around the players already moving toward larger roles.
Hellebuyck's situation has opened the door to a massive trade conversation. Utah now has enough pieces to be part of it, even if getting from interest to an actual deal remains difficult.
