Sound Of Hockey just flagged an icing call that has Kraken coach Lane Lambert reacting during tonight's game against the Flames.
The Kraken and Flames are in the second intermission as this goes up, and the score isn't something we're going to guess at. The play in question is already the talk of the night.
Sound Of Hockey explained that Seattle "iced" the puck, but it hit a player on the bench and the officials still gave the icing call.

According to the same post, Seattle didn't like it. Calgary then scored off the offensive-zone faceoff, and the clip opens with Lambert's reaction.
That sequence is what makes this sting. A faceoff in your own end after an icing is a gift to the other team, and the Flames cashed it in.
If the puck did hit a player on the bench the way the post describes it, the Kraken have every right to be angry. Officials get plenty of judgment calls wrong, but a goal that comes straight off the whistle is the kind that gets replayed in the coaches' room.
Why this call matters for Seattle's season
The Kraken come in at 8-5-1, and they've been trying to shake off a 6-2 loss in Calgary on Friday, October 30. Giving that same opponent a free offensive-zone draw is the last thing Lambert wanted.
The Flames sit at 7-8-0 and have a goal differential of -14, so they aren't exactly a team that scores in bunches. They did win 2-1 in San Jose on Monday, and they'll take any help they can get.
Lambert's reaction is the part fans will want to see for themselves. We can only tell you what the post says: he reacted, the bench didn't like the call, and the goal followed.
Whether the call ends up deciding the game is still open, with the third period ahead. Seattle's next game is Saturday, November 7 against the Rangers, and the Flames follow with a Friday date against Anaheim.
Should the NHL allow officials to review an icing call that leads to a goal?
