An extremely rare penalty was called during Sunday's game between the New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings.
Late in the first period after a whistle, New York Rangers defenceman K'Andre Miller got into it with Los Angeles Kings defenceman Drew Doughty. As Doughty skated towards Miller, the Rangers blueliner spit on the two-time Stanley Cup champion.
The officials gave K'Andre Miller a match penalty for spitting. Any match penalty handed out during a game is automatically subject to review by the NHL's Department of Player Safety.

Does Miller deserve a suspension for spitting on Doughty?
