After 18 NHL seasons, Sidney Crosby knows pretty much every trick in the book. On the ice, off the ice...the Kid has seen everything there is to see on the journey of a professional athlete.

One aspect of Sidney Crosby's career which receives less attention than it probably deserves is his image management. Notice how Crosby has never been implicated in any sort of scandal? That's not an accident.

The Penguins' captain carefully manicures his public image. He stays off social media, keeps an entourage of people who limit the number of pictures taken when he is out and about, and it doesn't hurt that he is practically a Boy Scout. But that doesn't mean fun isn't had in the life of Sidney Crosby.

A former teammate of his - F Jean-Sebastien Dea - in a recent interview said that Crosby goes so far as to disguise his alcohol intake so as to avoid being sighted.

"When he goes to drink his drinks in bars, he'll take them in a coffee cup. That way, you don't get the impression that he's drinking. [...] He has the right to drink, like anyone else, but it's a good trick! It's a veteran move!"
