The Oilers will be bringing a 1,000-game journeyman who could slot into their bottom six if he earns a contract.
Oilers Bring In Gagner
Recent reports have surfaced stating that Sam Gagner will be returning to the Edmonton Oilers on a Professional Try Out.

The Oilers initially drafted Gagner 6th overall back in 2007 and throughout his 1,015-game career, he has played 542 games with the Oilers.
Will Gagner Earn A Contract?

Gagner has plenty of rapport with the Oilers so they know exactly what they are getting when they bring him in.
Coming off of a down year where he only scored 14 points in 48 games, Gagner will need to bounce back at 34 years old if he wants to prove himself worthy of a contract.
If not, this may be the end of his NHL career.
