Baun's Legacy
Baun was a tough defenceman, despite his smaller size, recording over 1400 career penalty minutes. He scored 37 goals and 187 assists in 964 career games. He played for the Leafs from 1956-1967, and then again from 1970-1973, winning 4 Stanley Cups with the club.
Baun scored the game-winning goal in game 6 of the 1964 Stanley Cup finals to win the Leafs their third consecutive Stanley Cup and did so on a broken ankle.
Our condolences are with the Baun family.
