For some, the NHL summer is about relaxing, for others it's about making moves to make sure your team gets better, but for this referee, it's going to be plenty of pain on a long journey.
An honourable cause

NHL referee Dan O'Rourke is biking over 2,700 miles from Santa Monica all the way to Chicago this summer, but he's doing it for a great cause.
-
For all his life, O'Rourke's father has been visually impaired, but has inspired those around him by never letting it effect his life, and in honour of that, he's doing this ride for the National Federation of the Blind.
Almost half way
According to Frank Seravalli, he's now almost 1,300 miles into his journey as he's heading into the Texas Panhandle, and for such an honourable cause, this is a great thing he's doing.
If you would like to donate to O'Rourke's fantastic cause and support him before he finishes the incredible bike, you can donate here: Support the National Federation of the Blind
Could you survive this tough journey?
