MAJOR: Corey Perry Likely to Hit Waiver Wire Today
Elliotte Friedman has addressed the Corey Perry situation, which blew out of proportion yesterday.
It now appears likely that the former Hart Trophy winner hill hit the waiver wire.

Corey Perry's time in Chicago has been very interesting. He started off as a mentor for their young players, but mysteriously left the team last week. Several rumours emerged linking Perry to an extramarital affair with a teammate's mother, but it appears those were false.
Now, renowned insider Elliotte Friedman has hinted that Perry is done in Chicago, and will either be traded or waived.
Possible Destinations for Corey Perry
Coming off of three straight bargain deals, the Blackhawks paid up for Perry this season, giving him a four-million dollar deal. This makes a waiver claim less likely, unless it comes from a team who's hoping to subsequently trade him. A team like San Jose would make sense, or a brief reunion in Anaheim (which would be adorable!).
Either way, it appears Perry's time in Chicago is over.
