Amidst the Vancouver Canucks freefall, NHL Insider Darren Dreger revealed that star sniper Brock Boeser is likely leaving the team.

The Vancouver Canucks were a star team last year, finishing the regular season sixth in the league with 109 points.

Now, having lost six of their eight games this month already, the team has dropped out of a playoff spot, standing at 19th in the league.

Most of the blame for their cold streak has been laid at the feet of an ongoing locker-room feud between J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson, that has remained an issue for head coach Rick Tocchet, who has had to reduce the 800-game veteran player's ice time.

However, even with a waning position and possible J.T. Miller trade, more difficulties are expected ahead of the trade deadline for the Canucks.

In a recent appearance on The Barn Burner, TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger revealed that star-sniping winger Brock Boeser is likely leaving the team.

Brock Boeser has been one of top players for
Vancouver for the past several years, but with his incoming free agency status, he has become one of the most likely players to get traded off to reverse the team's current misfortune.

Boeser is well aware that he could be in his last games with the team and has stated that he remains dedicated to playing good hockey with his team.

"All I want to do right now is help our team and be part of the solution, getting our team back on track, I mean, really play some good hockey with these guys, and then let them make a decision on me. I don't want to have it be like this. These are some of my best buddies, and I know we can win hockey games. I really believe we can right this ship and start winning hockey games, and I really want to do that and help get our team going again. And then when the time comes, they can make their decision."

The Canucks are set to face off against the Edmonton Oilers Saturday at Rogers Arena.

Regardless of his future with the team, hopefully, Boeser can still be part of Vancouver's turnaround.
