Chicago Blackhawks franchise center Connor Bedard made an interesting comment this morning that left some fans scratching their heads.

Connor Bedard got off to a relatively slow start this season raising concerns among many fans.

In fact, many started to lose faith in him including one former referee who called the raising star 'overrated' after his Calder-winning rookie season.

Now, he is one of the hottest players in the NHL with 6 goals and 14 points in his last 13 games.

It has been one of the most productive stretches of his young career.

Unfortunately, the Blackhawks have not taken advantage of his hot streak, winning just two of their last ten games.

The team remains in 8th place in the Central Division, and are the current favorites to win the draft lottery this summer.

That being said, that does not mean that Bedard isn't having fun, which is an important part of player development as a good mood will reinforce his love for the game.

Today he had some fun with reporters when he was asked if there were any conspiracy theories he believes in.

"The moon landing... kinda suspicious ya know?"

The comment sparked debate among fans as they tried to rationalize what he said.

Several expressed their disappointment that he would fall for such a silly conspiracy theory while others noted that they were not surprised.

One fan even suggested that Bedard may be on the autism spectrum as a result of the interaction!

That being said, to most fans, it was fairly obvious that he was joking and just having fun with the silly question.

Do you think Bedard was being serious?
