The Boston Bruins forward Morgan Geekie opened up about the rampant trade rumours suggesting the end of his journey in Boston.

With two weeks until the trade deadline, teams have already a good idea of what changes must be made to make their team better, either on the long-run or for the end of the season.

In Boston, general manager don Sweeney already made a significant change this season by firing Jim Montgomery as head coach, but it appears he might not be done.

His team hasn't been performing up the the organization's standards, and rumors of a fire sale are flying around.

Set to become a restricted free agent at the end of the season, Morgan Geekie could be one of the players to leave the team. If not at the trade deadline, this offseason.

The player opened up about the possibility of being in the last stretch of his time in the Bruins organization in a recent interview.

Here's what he had to say:

"I want to be a Bruin. I want to be a Bruin as long as I can be. It's not up to me. I'm just going to go out there and play. I love every guy in here, and everything about the organization, the culture. However the chips may fall, it's going to be what it is."

Yesterday, the Bruins were in action against the Anaheim Ducks, and while he scored an important goal to tie the game at the end of the third period, his team lost in overtime.

Geekie offered insights on his goal, and what losing the extra point meant for the team at this stage of the season:

"I definitely had a few chances to put them in earlier. I just try to keep shooting it. When you're around the net, you just try to stay around it, and chances are going to come. I'm just trying to get open and definitely just trying not to shy away from shooting it."

"It's tough to take positives out of it, especially where we are in standings and stuff. Take it and learn from it, but you're right. I think we really let those points slip away. We took a little bit to get going tonight. It shows resiliency to battle back, but at this time of year, I don't think one point is going to do it."
