Penguins Head Coach Mike Sullivan Loses it After Embarrassing Effort Against the Rangers
The Pittsburgh Penguins' head coach Mike Sullivan lost it during a press conference after an embarrassing effort from his team against the New York Rangers yesterday.
Last night, the New York Rangers beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-2 and Mike Sullivan didn't hide his frustration after the game.
The Penguins saw their four-game winning streak come to an end, and the coach didn't shy away from calling out his players for the overall team effort.
In his post-game comments, he went as far as saying it was their worst game in a month and pointed fingers at the players for not doing what was asked of them ahead of the clash.
Here's what he said:
"Everything we talked about before the game we did the complete opposite. We talked about managing the puck, we gave up six 2 on 1s and a breakaway, we talked about bringing physicality to the game and we didn't touch anybody."

"There wasn't a collective effort."
With proud players such as Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang in the lineup, this shouldn't happen.
While the Penguins are only three points away from the Rangers at the 4th rank of the Metropolitan Division, the organization isn't satisfied with the team's performances.
Big changes are expected in Pittsburgh. President of Hockey Operations and General Manager of the team Kyle Dubas has been active on the market, but nothing major has happened yet.
Today should be a busy day for the Penguins' coaching staff, as the team is set to face the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight.
If he continues to accumulate losses, we could be witnessing the last stretch of Sullivan as the Penguins' head coach.
