The Vancouver Canucks traded J.T. Miller rather than Elias Pettersson, and now, they've paired him up with another Pettersson, landing Marcus from Pittsburgh in their second deal of the day in a late night shocker.

Friday's have been busy in the NHL as of late, with the Mikko Rantanen and J.T. Miller trades occurring on back-to-back Friday's, and now, the Canucks are reportedly at it again.

According to Elliotte Friedman, just hours after trading J.T. Miller, the Canucks are acquiring defenseman Marcus Pettersson from the Pittsburgh Penguins as they look to give their blue line a much needed boost behind Quinn Hughes and Filip Hronek.

Reports have now indicated that this will be the full deal that sees now not one, not two but three Pettersson's potentially in the lineup for Vancouver moving forward.

Canucks receive: Marcus Pettersson, Drew O'Connor

Penguins receive: Vincent DeSharnais, New York Rangers first-round pick (acquired in the Miller deal), Danton Heinen, Melvin Fernstrom, third-round pick.

On paper, that's a fantastic deal for Vancouver, who offload DeSharnais and add Pettersson to the return from Miller, making it Pettersson, FIlip Chytil and Vincent Mancini for the disgruntled Miller, who had a NMC making moves around him increasingly difficult.

On top of that, they'll acquire talented forward Drew O'Connor, who, alongside Chytil will look to give this offense a major boost as the team are now ready to play free of all the drama that has plagued them.

It's unclear if the team are done dealing for now, but it's become clear that Patrik Allvin and the team are ready to be aggressive as they believe this team can compete for a Stanley Cup even after their struggles, and with several key spots now addressed, this team have the chance to turn things around in the coming weeks.
